Irene and her sisters were my first friends when I arrived in New York in 1964 at the age of eighteen. It was a privilege for me to re-connect with Irene as she was founding LiLY and I am in awe of what she created and what a force for good and example to others she has been. It was with great sadness that I learned of her passing.
