Seema Hingorani

Seema Hingorani is a managing director, senior client advisor, and a member of the operating committee at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM). She joined the firm in 2019. Hingorani is a veteran investor of 30 years at the highest levels in the private and public sectors at firms including hedge funds Andor Capital, Pequot Capital and asset manager T. Rowe Price.

Previous to Morgan Stanley, she was the founder and chief investment officer of SevenStep Capital, a seed stage platform focused on investing in women asset managers as well as serving as chief investment officer for the New York City Retirement Systems, which had assets of $160 billion. She is also the founder and board chair of Girls Who Invest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in portfolio management and executive leadership in the asset management industry.

In 2025, she received the Icon Award from Pension & Investments and the inaugural Torch Bearer Mentorship Award from the PEWIN Foundation. In 2024, she was recognized by Forbes on its list of “50 over 50: Investment” for her industry leadership. She was awarded in 2021 by France its highest civil and military merit award, Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honor) and by Barron’s as one of the most influential women in U.S. Finance.
