Stephanie Bertini is an award-winning television journalist with nearly two decades of experience reporting in both the United States and Canada. Currently based in Manhattan, she is a reporter for Fox 5 New York.
Born and raised in Toronto, Stephanie began building her broadcast career while studying journalism at Seneca Polytechnic, where she developed the storytelling, editorial, and on-air skills that launched her into television news. Her first job after graduation was with CTV News Northern Ontario, where she quickly proved her versatility as a reporter, anchor, and host.
In 2010, Stephanie moved to the United States and joined KRGV-TV in South Texas, reporting along the U.S.-Mexico border. The work she did there became foundational to her career. Her story *Police Threat*, about Mexican cartels infiltrating small American police departments, won both a regional and national Edward R. Murrow Award, and her piece *Poverty Through the Eyes of a Child* earned a regional Murrow Award.
She later worked for WFTV in Central Florida, NBC 6 South Florida, and BNC, The Black News Channel, before joining Fox 5 New York in 2022. At Fox 5, her reporting has continued to focus on immigration and the human stories behind the headlines. FOX 5 NY’s *Migrants in America: In Their Own Words* won a 2025 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award in the News Series category and received a 2024 New York Emmy nomination.
