Intergenerational Volunteer Program

You may not know it, but many of the people who you meet through LiLY are “volunteers.” LiLY considers a volunteer as any neighbor who completes LiLY’s service training and is interested in getting to know more older adults (especially elders, people over 80 years of age) or those who share their interests. Today’s volunteers are primarily college students new to New York City, young professionals, and empty-nesters or retirees. Participants who are 70 years and older also volunteer their time, companionship, and insights as part of their contribution to LiLY.
